Tamasos Primary School

The regional primary school of Tamasos is situated at the village Pera Orinis which is 19km far from the capital of the island. 140 students that come from the villages Pera Orinis, Episkopio and Politiko, attend to the school.

The personnel of the school consists of 15 teachers including one head master, two head master assistants, two special education teachers and one speech pathologist.

The school have often contacts with the red cross and takes part in some of the activities. Every year three visits to different places are organized for the students . They visit places such as archaeological sides, historical places or museums.

 The  students also have the chance to go to theatre or cinema a few times in each year. Two day excursions are also organized for the 5th and 6th grade students

one of the main goals of the school is to give the students the chance to learn using  different methods. A continual effort is given in giving the children the chance to enrich their knowledge and experiences into and outside of the school. A lot of the classes in different areas take part at places outside the school area and there is a continual cooperation with other professionals around the area of the school.  Both Parent Association and Community Councils are willing to help the school during its effort to attend the project.
